Senior journalist Nixon delivered a special lecture to students on the news and contemporary politics on March-09.







 
I.V.Mahasenan, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Political Science, gave a special lecture on International Dimension of Russia-Ukraine War to the students in the organization of Career Guidance unit on August-31.

Professor N.K. Kumaresanraja, Pondicherry University delivered a special address on South-South Cooperation and India’s Development Partnership in South Asia with specific reference to Sri Lanka on October-10.

Talk Series

A series of dialogues on the political solution to Sri Lanka’s national ethnic problem was held jointly by the Department of Political Science and its Alumni Association. (December 2022 – February 2023)

Series : 01 – Prof. K.T. Ganesalingam, Head of the Department of Political Science, spoke on the topic “Possibilities and Realities of a Political Solution based on Ethnic Issues”. (December-12)





Series : 2 – Political analyst S.Jyothilingam spoke on the topic “Solution of the National Racial Problem and the Thirteenth Reformation”. (December-16)

Book Launch
The commemoration of former Senior Lecturer of Political Science Santhanpillai Sakayaseelan and the launch of his book ‘Tamil Political Movements in Sri Lanka and Tamil Nationalism’ was held on June-29.
