Today, IFES team met with Professor S. Srisatkunarajah, Vice Chancellor, Professor S. Raguram, Dean – Faculty of Arts, Dr. T. Vigneswaran, Head – Department of Political Science and Professor (Dr.) K.T. Ganeshalingam at the University of Jaffna.

During the meeting, the IFES team conveyed sincere appreciation for the collaborative partnership with the University of Jaffna in launching the PAVE program. This program is designed to benefit 33 students from the Department of Political Science. The program is set to officially launch with Module 1 training starting tomorrow in Jaffna.

2025/2026 கல்வி வருடத்துக்கான அரசறிவியல் ஒன்றிய நிர்வாகக் குழு உறுப்பினர்கள் ஆகஸ்ட்-27 (2025), புதன்கிழமை அன்று தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டனர்.

துறைத் தலைவர் கலாநிதி. தி.விக்னேஸ்வரன் தலைமையில் புதிய நிர்வாக தெரிவுக்கான பொதுக்கூட்டம் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது. அவர் தனது ஆரம்ப உரையில் அரசறிவியல் ஒன்றியத்தின் கடந்த கால செயற்பாட்டு அனுபவங்களையும், எதிர்காலத்தில் பயணிக்க வேண்டிய தடங்கள் பற்றியும் விபரித்திருந்தார்.

தொடந்து புதிய நிர்வாக தெரிவு இடம்பெற்றது. புதிய நிர்வாகத்தில் தலைவராக தெரிவு செய்யப்பட்ட A.நிரோஷா தனது கன்னி தலைமை உரையில், புதிய நிர்வாகம் தெரிவு செய்யத்தவர்களின் நம்பிக்கையை பாதுகாக்கும் வகையில் பொறுப்புடன் செயற்படும் என்ற உறுதியை வழங்கி இருந்தார். இறுதியாக புதிய நிர்வாகத்தின் செயலாளர் s.லக்ஸா நன்றி உரையுடன் பொதுக்கூட்டம் நிறைவுக்கு வந்தது.

A high-level delegation from France met with the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jaffna on 28th of March 2025 to discuss potential academic collaborations, including a future Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The talks focused on student and faculty exchanges, joint research programs, and partnerships in social sciences and humanities.
Dr. Vigneshwaran, Head Department of Political Science, invited guests and organised the meeting with the Vice Chancellor.
The French delegation, led by Dr Delphine Thivet, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Sociology, University of Bordeaux, France, Dr Alexis Avdeeff, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Anthropology, University of Poitiers, France and Dr. R Uthaya Suriyan, Associate Researcher at the French Institute of Pondicherry, emphasized strengthening educational ties between France and Sri Lanka. University of Jaffna Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sivakolundu Srisatkunarajah welcomed the initiative, stating, “This collaboration will enhance academic excellence and provide global opportunities for our students.”
The proposed MoU is expected to pave the way for scholarships, research grants, and cultural exchanges. Further discussions will be held to finalize the agreement in the coming months.

யாழ்ப்பாணப் பல்கலைக்கழக அரசறிவியல் துறையின் ஏற்பாட்டில், துறையின் பழைய மாணவன் திரு. ஜ.வி.மகாசேனனின் ‘இலங்கை ஜனாதிபதித் தேர்தல்களில் ஈழத்தமிழர் அரசியல்’ எனும் புத்தக வெளியீடு, ஆகஸ்ட்-20 (2024) அன்று, கலைப்பீட கருத்தரங்கு மண்டபத்தில் இடம்பெற்றது. இந்நிகழ்வு துறைத்தலைவர் பேராசிரியர்கே.ரீ.கணேசலிங்கம் அவர்கள் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்றறது. இந்நிகழ்வின் பிரதம அதிதியாக கலைப்பீடாதிபதி பேராசிரியர் சி.ரகுராம் அவர்களும், சிறப்பு அதிதியாக சிவபூமி அறக்கட்டளையின் தலைவர் கலாநிதி. செஞ்சொற்செல்வர் ஆறு. திருமுருகன் அவர்களும் கலந்து கொண்டு சிறப்பித்து இருந்தனர்.

நூல் வெளியீட்டுரையை வருகைதரு விரிவுரையாளர் சட்டத்தரணி திரு. சி.ஆ.யோதிலிங்கம் அவர்கள் வழங்கி இருந்தார். நூலுக்கான மதிப்பீட்டுரையை அரசியல் எழுத்தாளர் ம.நிலாந்தன் அவர்களும் வழங்கி இருந்தார். முதற் பிரதியை நூலாசிரியர் ஐ.வி.மகாசேனனின் பாடசாலைக்கால அரசறிவியல் ஆசிரியர்களான திரு. வ.தவகுலசிங்கம் மற்றும் சி.இளங்கோ அவர்கள் பெற்றுக் கொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

யாழ்ப்பாணப் பல்கலைக்கழக அரசறிவியல் ஒன்றியத்தின் ஏற்பாட்டில் ‘அரசறிவியலாளன்-06’ இதழ் வெளியீடு, ஏப்ரல்-03 (2024) அன்று, கைலாசபதி கலையரங்கில் நடைபெற்றது. இந்நிகழ்வு அரசறிவியல் துறையின் தலைவர் பேராசிரியர் கே.ரீ.கணேசலிங்கம் அவர்கள் தலைமையில் நடைபெற்றறது. இந்நிகழ்வின் பிரதம அதிதியாக துணைவேந்தர் பேராசிரியர் சி.சிறிசற்குணராஜா அவர்களும், சிறப்பு அதிதியாக ககலைப்பீடாதிபதி பேராசிரியர் சி.ரகுராம் அவர்களும் கலந்து கொண்டு சிறப்பித்து இருந்தனர்.

அரசறிவியல் துறை மாணவர்கள் மற்றும் விரிவுரையாளர்களினால் இலங்கை மற்றும் சர்வதேச அரசியல் தொடர்பில் ஆய்வுப்பரப்பில் எழுதப்பட்ட கட்டுரைகள், அரசறிவியல் ஒன்றியத்தால் தொகுக்கப்பட்டு ‘அரசறிவியலாளன்-06’வது இதழாக வெளியீடு செய்யப்பட்டது.

இதழ் வெளியீடுரையை துறையின் விரிவுரையாளர் திருமதி. கு.ஜஸ்மியா அவர்கள் வழங்கி இருந்தார். மதிப்பீட்டுரையை வருகைதரு விரிவுரையாளர் சட்டத்தரணி திரு. சி.ஆ.யோதிலிங்கம் அவர்கள் வழங்கி இருந்தார். அரசறிவியலாளன்-06 இதழின் முதற்பிரதியை IBC ஊடக நிறுவன தலைவர் கந்தையா பாஸ்கரன் அவர்களும் பெற்றிருந்தார்.
